July 20-23, 2026 | Flight Club 502 Summer Camp 2026!

Flight Club 502 Summer Camp is a one-week program designed to introduce younger students to the world of aviation through hands-on experiences, behind-the-scenes tours, simulator flights, and engaging introductory lessons. Each camp session is three hours per day and is taught by senior Flight Club 502 members!

Camp Schedule:
One-Week Camp (Monday-Thursday)
9:00 AM-12:00 PM each day
Class size is limited to 12 campers

- Flight Club 502 T-shirt and water bottle
- All camp activities and experiences

Weekly Camp Breakdown:

Mondays:
- Walking tour of Bowman Field
- Tour of the Vintage Warbirds Hangar
- Tour of the Louisville Police Air Unit with up-close access to police helicopters
- Intro to Aviation lesson, including learning aircraft parts and how to preflight an airplane

Tuesdays:
- Backside tour of SDF Airport
- Tour of the airport fire department
- Watch aircraft land and take off from the taxiways at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport

Wednesdays:
- Bowman Field ATC Tower tour
- Fly the Redbird and DA20 Flight Club simulators
- Build and fly balsa wood airplanes

Thursdays:
- UPS Training Center and Simulator Tour
- Experience flying 747, MD-11, Airbus, 767, and/or 757 simulators

Cost:
Recommended contribution: $300
Pay what you can. No camper will be turned away due to inability to pay.

PARENTAL CONSENT & LIABILITY WAIVER





By electronically signing this agreement, I give permission for my child (named above) to participate in all activities of the Flight Club 502 Aviation Camp, including educational tours and hands-on aviation activities.





I acknowledge and agree that:





The Louisville Regional Airport Authority (LRAA), Flight Club 502, and its partners are not liable for any unforeseen circumstances that may affect camp programming.





Secure areas of the airport may require mature behavior. Flight Club 502 maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding inappropriate conduct.





Ground transportation for offsite activities may be provided by adult volunteers and senior youth leaders.





By signing below, I agree to release Flight Club 502, LRAA, and their respective officers, agents, and employees from any liability related to my child’s participation in the program, except in cases of willful misconduct.


 
 

PHOTO CONSENT





Flight Club 502 requires permission to use your child’s photograph to promote aviation camps and Flight Club 502 programs. Images may be used in print and online publications, presentations, websites, and social media. No royalty, fee, or compensation will be provided for the use of these images.
