Summer Camp #7: July 14th-July 17th 2025 (8-12 year olds)

July 14th-17th, 2025 | Flight Club 502 Flight Camp: 3 hours per session, taught by senior FC members.  This class is a pre-requisite to join Flight Club 502 Membership. Class is limited to 12.

ONE WEEK CAMP:   9AM - 12 NOON.  Includes flight club t-shirt,  aviation ground lesson each day, flight in the Redbird Simulator, and awesome tours (listed below).  Class is limited to 12.   Recommeded contribution: $300.

Tours:  Control Tower, Air National Guard, UPS, Louisville International Airport (SDF)  backside tour including UPS Ramp, Plane Spotting, behind the scenes and Fire and Rescue. 

Ground School programming:
Learn to fly orientation: Requirements for Private Pilot Certificate. Aircraft Components, Basic Aerodynamics, Flight organizations and Jobs in Aviation

Aircraft Systems: Aircraft Engines, Flight Instruments, Flight Controls

Flight: Use of Checklists, Taxi procedures, Fundamentals of Flight (Climbs, Descents, Straight and Level and Turns)

Medical factors and decision making: Aeromedical Factors, Aeronautical Decision Making

PARENTAL CONSENT & LIABILITY WAIVER


By electronically signing this agreement, I give permission for my child (named above) to participate in all activities of the Flight Club 502 Aviation Camp, including educational tours and hands-on aviation activities.


I acknowledge and agree that:

The Louisville Regional Airport Authority (LRAA), Flight Club 502, and its partners are not liable for any unforeseen circumstances that may affect camp programming.

Secure areas of the airport may require mature behavior. Flight Club 502 maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding inappropriate conduct.

Ground transportation for offsite activities may be provided by adult volunteers and senior youth leaders.


By signing below, I agree to release Flight Club 502, LRAA, and their respective officers, agents, and employees from any liability related to my child’s participation in the program, except in cases of willful misconduct.

 
PHOTO CONSENT


Flight Club 502 requires permission to use your child’s photograph to promote aviation camps and Flight Club 502 programs. Images may be used in print and online publications, presentations, websites, and social media. No royalty, fee, or compensation will be provided for the use of these images.
