We’re excited to welcome Bill Murphy as our guest speaker during Saturday Ground School at 11AM on November 8th.
Bill is a First Officer at UPS Airlines, flying the Boeing 757/767. He began his aviation journey at age 30 after making a major career change, proving it’s never too late to pursue your passion. Since earning his wings in 2001 and joining UPS in 2019, Bill’s career has been defined by perseverance, curiosity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Before becoming a pilot, Bill earned a degree in Marketing from San Diego State University. His unique background has given him a powerful perspective on setting and achieving long-term goals.
Outside the cockpit, Bill enjoys mentoring young people interested in aviation and supporting STEM and career-readiness programs for middle school, high school, and college students. He and his wife Alyssa have been married for 27 years and have three children, Sammy (21), and twins Hannah and Zach (19).
